Warnings

Do not take more than two tablets within 24 hours. Do not take Rizatriptan if you have a heart, liver, or kidney problem, without your doctor’s approval. Do not take Rizatriptan when pregnant or breastfeeding without discussing your status with your doctor. Always inform your doctor about any prescription medication you are currently using. Do not take Rizatriptan if you are allergic to any of the ingredients present in Rizatriptan.

Directions

You must use Rizatriptan exactly as directed by your doctor. The tablets are taken orally without food. However, if you experience nausea and stomach upsets, you can take the tablet after a meal. You should take the tablets at the first sign of a migraine or cluster headache, as they are most effective when taken at the beginning of an attack. Wash your hands and dry them before opening the package. Place one tablet on your tongue and allow it to dissolve. Do not chew or crush the tablet. If symptoms persist, wait for two hours before taking the second dose.
