  • Doxycycline has a low chance for bacterial resistance; it thus increases the chances of effective treatment. You require a doctor's prescription before purchasing Doxycycline.

Warnings

  • Refrain from taking Doxycycline if you:
    • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
    • Have used it before and suffered an allergic reaction or are allergic to the ingredients
  • Seek a doctor’s advice if you have:
    • Liver or kidney problems
    • Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) condition
    • Myasthenia gravis condition
  • Doxycycline may make the conditions above worse. It should not be taken with milk or antacids as they reduce absorption. Avoid sexual activity for seven days after treatment to allow the vaginal discharge to get back to normal.

Directions

Ingredients

Each Doxycycline capsule contains 100mg Doxycycline as the active ingredient. Each capsule also contains gelatin, magnesium stearate, shellac glaze, sodium lauryl sulphate, starch, E104, E127, E131, E171, E172, and propylene glycol.

Side Effects

  • Like any other medicine, Doxycycline 100mg capsules can cause some side effects. These are usually mild and can include:
    • Nausea and vomiting
    • Diarrhoea
    • Heartburn
  • Other rare side effects from Doxycycline are:
    • Skin sensitivity to light. Avoid intense sun or use strong sunblock while under Doxycycline meditation
    • Always read the leaflet supplied with your medication for a complete list of side effects and interactions with other medicines.
  • The conditions below may indicate solid allergic reactions. Stop treatment and see your doctor in case you notice:
    • Difficulty in breathing
    • Swellings
    • Fast heart rate
    • Rash or itching
    • Fever and cramps
    • Watery diarrhoea
    • Low blood pressure
