- Heart Disease (including chest pain, angina, heart attack or any history of cardiovascular event)
- Pheochromocytoma (cancer of the adrenal glands)
- Male breast cancer
- Acute Porphyria (a rare hereditary disease affecting haemoglobin)
- Prostate problems (prostate enlargement, prostatitis, prostate cancer)
- Depression, anxiety or low mood
- Liver problem
- After starting the treatment it may take up to 6 months before symptoms start to improve, if you stop the treatment, you are likely to lose the hair you have gained within 9 to 12 months.
- You should promptly report any changes in your breast tissue such as lumps, pain, enlargement or nipple discharge, a decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, and ejaculation disorders.
- If you experience mood alterations such as depression and suicidal thoughts, stop the treatment and contact your doctor for advice as soon as possible.
- Taking more than the recommended dose of hair loss treatment has been shown not to increase its effectiveness.
- You need to tell your doctor that you are taking hair loss treatment if you require a PSA blood test as it can affect the results.
- Use a condom during sexual intercourse
