Description

What is Doxycycline?

Doxycycline is a tetracycline antibiotic that treats acne by reducing inflammation and bacterial growth on the skin. Usually, a noticeable improvement in skin condition is seen after several weeks of consistent use. Doxycycline is taken orally, making it a convenient option for patients who have not responded to topical treatments alone.

How Does Doxycycline Work?

Doxycycline 100mg capsules work by inhibiting the production of proteins that bacteria need to multiply, thereby preventing the spread of acne-causing bacteria. This helps in reducing the number of spots and severity of acne breakouts.

It is also the current recommended antibiotic treatment for Chlamydia, an STD infection. When you have been exposed, and are experiencing symptoms such as pain or bleeding after sex, you should get tested for Chlamydia. Doxycycline has a low chance for bacterial resistance; it thus increases the chances of effective treatment. You require a doctor's prescription before purchasing Doxycycline.
