Warnings

  • Do not take more than three wafers within 24-hours.
  • Do not take Maxalt if you have a heart problem or uncontrolled blood pressure.
  • Do not administer Maxalt to children under six years without your doctor’s approval.
  • Do not take Maxalt before informing your doctor about your pregnancy and breastfeeding status.
  • Make sure you discuss with your doctor before taking Maxalt if you have any underlying medical and allergy conditions.

Directions

  • Always follow the instructions given by your doctor, or read the information provided on the product leaflet.
  • Take Maxalt tablets at the first sign of a migraine.
  • Maxalt tablet can be taken with or without food.
  • If symptoms persist, you can take another wafer after two hours.

Ingredients

  • The active substance: rizatriptan. One tablet contains 5 or 10 mg rizatriptan as 7.265 or 14.53 mg of rizatriptan benzoate.
  • The other ingredients: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose (E460a), starch, pregelatinised; iron oxide red (E172) and magnesium stearate (E572).
