Metanium Nappy Rash Ointment is a protective ointment that can be used at every nappy change and creates a barrier between the baby's delicate skin and the irritants in urine and faeces, therefore treating and helping to prevent nappy rash. It also helps to relieve itching and chafing often associated with nappy rash. 

Warnings

  1. External use only: Metanium Nappy Rash Ointment is intended for external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, and other mucous membranes. If accidental contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. If baby accidentally swallows some see a doctor straight away. Take the pack with you show which medicine has been swallowed.

  2. Allergy and sensitivity: Some individuals may have allergies or sensitivities to the ingredients in Metanium Nappy Rash Ointment. Before using the product for the first time, perform a patch test on a small area of the baby's skin. If any signs of redness, itching, or irritation occur, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.

  3. Avoid open wounds: Do not apply Metanium Nappy Rash Ointment to open wounds, cuts, or broken skin. The ointment is specifically formulated for use on intact skin and may cause further irritation or discomfort if applied to broken skin.

  4. Caution: Product may stain fabrics

Directions

It is important that you follow these instructions carefully.

  • After removing soiled nappy, clean and wash the affected area, drying with a soft towel.
  • Wash your hands and dab a small amount (pea size) of the ointment over the sore area with your fingertip.
  • It is important to spread the ointment thinly so that the skin texture can be clearly seen through it.
  • Repeat at each nappy change to treat nappy rash 
  • Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the carton and tube.

Titanium Dioxide 20% w/w, Titanium Peroxide 5% w/w, Titanium Salicylate 3% w/w

Also contains

Dimethicone 350, light liquid paraffin, tincture of benzoin and white soft paraffin

Side Effects

  • Very rarely Metanium Ointment can cause skin irritation. If any unusual effects occur, discontinue use and consult your pharmacist or doctor.
