How Does metronidazole Work?

Bacterial vaginosis is a vaginal infection caused by an overgrowth of certain bacteria in the vagina and causes abnormal vaginal discharge and an unpleasant odour. Metronidazole 400mg Tablets is an antibiotic that is prescribed to treat bacterial vaginosis. It works by killing the bacteria that cause the infection. It is important to take all of the Metronidazole 400mg. It does this by stopping the production of DNA and proteins which are essential for the bacteria to survive. Metronidazole 400mg Tablets also stop the bacteria from multiplying, so they are unable to infect more cells. This means that the infection can be cleared up and does not have a chance to spread.
