  • How Does Optilast eye drop Work?
    • The eye contains a certain type of cells known as mast cells. Mast cells are responsible for the immune response of the eyes to foreign particles. They react to allergens by secreting histamines, which cause the eyes to become watery and red. Pollen, animal fur, and dust mites are some of the most common allergy triggers.
    • The active ingredient in optilast eye drops is azelastine hydrochloride, which inhibits the release of histamine by these cells, thus helping to reduce inflammation and congestion in the nasal passages. This can help to relieve the symptoms of hay fever, such as sneezing, itching and sore eyes.
    • Optilast eye drops also help to keep the eyes moist and lubricated, which can help to relieve irritation and itchiness.
